HOW IT WORKS
Prizes from Fleet Feet Sports will be given to the top three overall male and female winners of the series. In order to come up with a series winner, points will be accumulated from each race. The series award presentation takes place after the final race on May 31st . If a tiebreaker is needed at the end of the series, we will take the faster time of the last race.
Points are given out as follows:
· Overall Male and Female 1st place finishers receive 10 points
· Overall male and female 2nd place finishers receive 9 points
· Overall male and female 3rd place finishers receive 8 points
Age group points (go to runners who are not in the top 3)
· First place in age group = 7 points
· Second place in age group = 6 points
· Third Place finish in age group = 5 points
· Fourth place finish in age group = 4 points
· Fifth place finish in age group = 3 points
Age groups for both men and women are:
18-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50+
If a person signs up for all races in the race series, they will be assigned a race number to use during the entire race series. Racers can leave their numbers with the Recreation Staff at the end of the race and pick it up at the registration table for the next race. It will be the runners’ responsibility to bring their number to every race. If you choose to sign up for a single race, you will be assigned a race number for that race.
